Venue

Our welcome dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, as well as post-wedding breakfast will all be on-site at Cloughjordan House (CJH) in Cloughjordan village in County Tipperary. The village is situated in the north-western part of Tipperary close to the County Offaly border and is close to Ireland's largest river, the Shannon, and Lough Derg.

FLIGHT

Cloughjordan House is located in the heart of Ireland! You can fly into either Dublin International Airport on Ireland’s east coast or Shannon International Airport on the country's west coast. The closest international airport to CJH is Shannon, but Dublin isn’t too far and may offer more route options to/from the US.

**TRAVEL NOTE: If you are flying back to the US from Ireland, you must clear US customs and immigration in Dublin or Shannon airports before boarding your flight, so please arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight departure time.

RENTAL CAR

The easiest way to get around Ireland and to/from Cloughjordan House is to rent a car. Cloughjordan is 7 minutes from the main M7 motorway that connects Dublin and Limerick (near where Shannon airport is located).


Both of the main airports have a variety of car rental options - just remember your license, credit card and that driving is on the left side of the road!

TRAIN

While in general Ireland is not as train friendly as other European countries, there are a couple of trains per day that will take you Cloughjordan to/from Dublin (approx. 1hr 45 min) or Limerick near Shannon (approx. 1hr 15min). Once you arrive at Cloughjordan village train station, you can either call a taxi (see list of taxis) or walk 17 minutes along footpaths to Cloughjordan House.


In Dublin, it’s likely best to depart from Heuston Station where there are trains to Cloughjordan village via Ballybrophy. There are regular buses from Dublin Airport to Heuston Station.


If heading to Cloughjordan from Shannon, it’s likely best to take a train to Cloughjordan village out of Limerick Colbert Station either direct or via Ballybrophy.

BUS

Without renting a car, you can also get around Ireland by taking a bus. There are buses from Dublin airport to Nenagh and from Shannon airport to Roscrea. From there, you can take a taxi or local bus to Cloughjordan village.
